In ancient Egypt, when pharaohs wanted to record something for eternity and have it be known not only to mortals, but more importantly, to the gods, they wrote in stone.

And thousands of years later these stones, or stelas, remain to give us an historical record and glimpse into ancient civilizations.
When we become an ancient civilization to those who live thousands of years from now, what record for eternity are we leaving that will still exist (and function) for them to discover and decipher?

I think I’m coming down with a major case of clutter clearing again. The last time I experienced one this big was about five years ago. Everything in the house became a conscious decision to stay or go – nothing was left untouched, no box unopened. I am still amazed thinking of the scales on the paper shredding truck weighing in at 568 lbs.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed the blog format will generate a lot more interaction amongst ourselves and maybe even see the start of a community forming. Who knows what possibilities lay ahead … we only know they exist and await our discovery. continue →
