I was just thinking abut what happens when you put your own stuff first. When you do what’s important to you.
What happens?
You feel really good about yourself. You’re energized.
The other stuff is put into perspective – important maybe, but not imperative to do in this moment.
Even five minutes will give you this.
Five minutes of and with you will shift everything.
I don’t know how important I can make that.
If anything was to be imperative it should be you.
It is you.
For if you are not well then we are not well too. We are in this together.
Be you so we can be us.
Help another after you have helped yourself.
Five minutes a day is not too much ask – for a start. Soon it will grow into much longer than that but the thought could scare you off.
Being yourself is not something that you do.
Being with yourself will grow and nurture into nature – the nature of you.
You must understand you are being you – all the time. Not so hard to do.
And much easier when you lay down all the things in the way.
Be you to the fullest. Shine at your brightest so we may shine more fully too.
To be dim is not to not know – or be stupid as some may call it.
To be dim is to hold your light back and down, to not be your fullest.
That is where the pretending is at its worst.
Nothing can eat away faster at you, at your spirit, than to not shine brightly, to not be you.
You become the kinked hose that does not allow water to pass through.
And after a while the kink becomes worn in, like a bad habit, that cuts off your flow – whether or not you know.
