Big Cars In Small Spaces

MAP

What do you want to talk about today?

I’m game for anything.

Cute.  You are the game.

Yes.  And so are you.

Don’t try and pin this on something outside yourself.  We are creating this together.

I’d like to think I didn’t create this weekend.

Why.  Was it tough?

Well, it certainly was different.  All handle-able but I can’t remember such a short period of time with so many things converging at once.

Some of it occurred to you because you became aware of it.  You brought this awareness into being.

Some of it happened through a series of events over time that came together just right and you became aware of it.

Those actions you started years ago.

And some of your experience happened because you chose to ignore it no longer.

Had you continued to ignore it you still would have had you deal with it at some point.

Are you okay?

Yes.  As I said, it was all handle-able – mostly because I decided to take a different attitude, to not let it be crushing or defeating.

I suppose I was more in observer mode, or at least going through this from a wider point of view.

That helped.

Why?

Because I didn’t get caught up in it.

It was happening but not really to me.  I didn’t take it personally.

In fact, I was excited to have a story to tell at some point down the road.

That’s a little bizarre don’t you think.

Not really.  Distancing yourself from the problem or situation gives you more room to maneuver.

Would you rather turn a big car around in a small garage or a large parking lot?

You have more options, more possibilities to choose from.  You can even decide entirely differently.

Being apart from the situation puts you in a different situation.

You are a part but apart.  You create a different experience.

You feel differently because there is something different to feel.

You break the chain to what is what you normally would have done.
