Being Too Close

MAP

What is healing?

A return to your natural state.

Which may not be what you think it to be.  Healing may take you in another direction altogether but it will be a return to the whole.

Aren’t we always whole?

Yes, on one level you are.

Again, what you perceive as whole depends on your perspective.

From where I sit – and I mean that oh so figuratively after your conversation on Saturday – you are never not whole.

You cannot not be.

From where you sit typically, you are never not whole either, but you do not see it that way.

You are closer to your action so everything appears exaggerated or magnified.  Things, life, can look distorted that way.

Healing is a way of removing that distortion.

When you return closer to the whole, as you perceive it, you see a new picture of life.

You do not see life in the same way as before.  You cannot for you are not the same.

What if you return to the same spot?

You never do.  That is impossible.

I thought everything was possible.

It is and it isn’t.

That’s helpful.

Good.  I’m glad it is.

You cannot have the same perspective because you cannot undo what you have been through.

Why would you want to forget?

That was a valuable experience in learning who you are and becoming more of you.

Have you considered the possibility that the way you were before was the part that was what you call broken?  That is need to change?

You were so bent out of shape that you could go no further?  That you were on the road to snapping in a big way?

Denial, comfortableness and awareness do not make a bad situation any better.

The further away from you that you are the bigger the change and hurt you perceive.

Opening the wound is most often what needs to be.  The pain is what you perceive.

For as bad as the pain can be, rejoice in knowing you are there to feel.  You are alive and have experienced who you are.

That is all you are up to.  To be and experience you.

You are never alone.  Rest in that.

Let all of us that is you comfort you and hold you.  We are here for you so you can know yourself better and more fully.

Take care of you as we do too.

All ways.   Amen.

It is so.
