I was just getting ’round to thinking about that.  I just got here.

Think fast.

Or not.

Take your time.  You have all the time in the world. 



I’m here and not going anywhere, ever.

Whenever you ask, whenever you speak, I am here.

It works the same way for everyone.



Do you ever just sit in silence, just being together?

All the time, but less frequently than you think.

Usually when silence is the goal you are busy trying to remove thoughts from your head and don’t pay much attention to just being here.

Or you forget about the silence altogether and just start praying, or talking.

You do not have to fear being alone with me.  This is not some date we are on.

I know who you are already.

Maybe that’s what scares you the most and you feel the need to fill the silence as a diversion.

It doesn’t matter.  I know who you are just the same.



But feel free to sit with me anytime and we can do nothing.

We have been together for a very long time and the silence we share is as comfortable as the most animated conversation.

We don’t have to entertain or impress each other any longer.



But don’t forget me in your times of silence.  Sit with me by your side, inside.

You don’t have to face the silence alone.

Imagine the two of us on a big comfy couch just watching life before us.  No thoughts needed, no space to fill.
