Why do we have to create problems where problems don’t exist? Why the drama?
What else would you do with yourself?
You are so used to fixing things you cannot comprehend some things don’t need fixing.
How do we change that?
Are you trying to fix again?
Perhaps? It’s possible to see things that way.
How do you know when something needs fixing and when it doesn’t?
Ultimately nothing needs fixing but that won’t help you much.
Learn to detect the flow.
The flow will be very resistant to your meddling and sometimes will even push back on you .
Like last night you experienced such a thing. Tell me about it.
Well, okay. I noticed at some point in my 4:00am wakefulness that I was trying to create a situation where one doesn’t exist.
I couldn’t really make the problem stick.
Then when I realized I was trying to create a problem the whole thought process disappeared.
Because I’d caught myself there was no longer a point in continuing.
And?
I would say what was very noticeable was how adamant the flow was to not getting saddled with a problem.
The flow was very full and forthright. No struggle was going to thwart it or cover it up.
I was protecting myself in a different way, protecting myself from getting in the way.
Are you glad you did?
Yes. Not engaging in that energy was good, normal actually.
You are seeing now more and more. Go into the nuances of each deeper level.
This is not an onion as your popular phrase goes. There is not an ultimate inner layer or core to expose – and then all is well with the world.
Each layer you peel will also reveal [new] ones down the road. You will expand rather than contract.
There is no end, only beginnings.
Use your sense of wonder and curiosity to engage you in the process rather than scare you off.
Learn to see the flow for what it is and the struggle you layer on top of it.
Flow does not mean lack of work or everything is perfect. Flow means it is all together as it should, a natural rhythm and dance of movement.
The more obstacles you put in the way the more you struggle to dance on the floor.
Move to where you have open space and can dance as your heart takes you.
You are not alone out there so see how you ebb and flow together. Watch the patterns you create as you move in and about each other.
Be the flow, not just carried by it.
