Is everything aware?
Aware of what?
What’s going on around them, what is happening.
Are you aware?
I’d like to think so.
To what degree are you talking about?
Are you aware of all that is going on inside your body? Or how about what is happening with another?
Do you have physical awareness, emotional awareness?
That’s a lot to think about.
Then there is much of which you are not aware.
That sort of killed the conversation right there.
What do you want me to say?
Oh, I don’t know. Maybe how there are different degrees of awareness, how human awareness is different, we are special, at the top of the awareness chain.
It’s all relative. Why do you want to be aware in the first place?
So we know what is going on and do something about it.
But when you know what is going on you don’t do something about it.
Your awareness seems to be more of a torture at times than a blessing.
You aren’t really living are you. More of existing, getting through, waiting for something better to come along to save you.
Well, that doesn’t sound very promising.
But it is true for most of you, is it not?
You pride yourselves on being aware of what is going on, to be able to look forward and backward, to feel, to empathize with another, and yet that is not what you do.
This is but another example of what you like to tell yourself you are and then do something completely different.
You would do well to see yourself as those things around you. What are they doing in what you call their unawareness?
How much of what they do you are doing too?
You are more alike than different.
And you can have a change in your experience too.
You can experience something different while being the same.
When you shift you will shift all others, of all kinds.
Take a clue or two from what is living around you – even if you perceive it to not be living at all.
Turn this life into a living, a true living in this world rather than just trying to get through it with the least amount of pain to endure.
