Thought Time

MAP

Is there anything we can do to focus on creating rather than on problems?

Creating is all you ever do.  You are one big creation machine.

The question for you to answer is whether or not you want to be creating more of the same or something new.

If you truly like what you experience then create more and more.

If you’re tired of the same old, same old or don’t like what is happening to you, then create something new.

Move your attention elsewhere from what you do now.

Your mind is always working so give it something new to think about, even if you don’t have to think new.

Give your mind a break now and then and don’t think at all.

That scares you – to not think – what else could you do?

Don’t think and you die – that is how your brain is working – full on or full off.

Only you equate full off to not being here at all.

Let your mind wander leisurely, as if you were taking a stroll.  Take it out of high gear.

Daydream about the most nonsensical things you can imagine.

Think about what brings a smile to your face.  You can’t be racing a mile a minute when you smile.  You must slow down.

Practice these things to change up the pace of your brain.  Let it cool down so it doesn’t overheat and breakdown.

As you do these things you are also starting to pay attention and be purposeful in your thoughts.

That allows you to pay attention to even more thoughts, including the ones that try to go unnoticed.

They are creeping into the light now.

Take note of where your thoughts lead and where they seem to stick.

Make this an inventory of where you are spending your thought time.

What proportions do you think in – problems, solutions and creation.

Take note how you feel as you note what you think.  What are you doing on the inside?

Can you find any links?

Start with these observations and practices of the mind and go from there.  Begin to pay attention and see what’s there.
