You’re fighting – tooth and nail even though it doesn’t appear so.
You have hidden it well, lulled yourself into a false sense of ease and flow. But you are still fighting to control, to make it so.
You find it to be the most difficult thing to do but it is the only way you will truly find yourself.
You have worked so hard to gain control and now I tell you to let go?
That is ludicrous, ridiculous.
How could you lose what you have longed to have? Boundaries, direction, a place in this world.
I tell you this is not you, and never will be.
You had to gain control in order to lose it.
You will not return to who you were by letting go. That is what you are struggling to stay away from.
And in doing so you keep that you around.
You fight to stay away from that, to have things just so. This is not true.
This is the game you play with yourself.
Letting go is your only way out. Control is in the opposite direction.
Control makes you smaller. Letting go makes you bigger.
Give up, give in – not to others but yourself.
You do not have to control you. Simply be you.
Drop the pretenses. Drop the stories. Drop the drama.
Just be you.
That will lift you to places you have oft dreamt of.
But you have to let go in order to do so.
There is no reason to be scared – you already know you – intimately. You just have to get to know you again.
You have been burned before by putting your trust in someone else, by having another protect you.
That is why you took control.
And now you want to know why you would ever give that up.
Because it’s a dead end road – and a short one at that.
You can live your life that way but you know you don’t want to.
Letting go is the only way out.
Stop fighting the good fight – there is no need to now. You’re beyond that.
Fighting is holding you down.
That is not who you are.
Let go and find out.
