Why is creating or deciding what we want so difficult?  There are so many things to choose from yet that stops us rather than propels.

That is because you are using your backwards looking techniques to go forward.

You don’t walk the same way forward as you do backwards.  Try it and see for yourself.



When you look to your past you see what you did, what options you (believe you) had and the consequences.

Pretty cut and dried.

Choose and repeat.

If you didn’t like what you saw then you can choose again.

You’re pretty much limited in what you can choose from.  There is no creation.

You are pulling from the pool of what is rather than what can be.



Now, you can use the past to help you choose differently for the future but you are not necessarily tapping into all that can be.

Choosing from what you could have done differently isn’t a bigger box.

It’s like pulling a toy from a treasure box and throwing it back in to choose again.

You don’t even consider what is outside the box at all.

When you rely on your past you keep picking from the same set of toys.

Now that is fine, but it is a long path to knowing what you want if you have to go through every option of what you don’t want.

And even then you are not guaranteed to find what you are looking for.

What you desire may not be in there at all.

So what do you do?

Stop picking from the box.

Okaaaaay …

Well, think about it.  You could keep yourself occupied for a very long time and never get anywhere close to where you want to go and who you want to be.

Pick, no, toss.  Pick, no, toss.



Stop picking from the box.  What you see is not what you get.

Step back and stop for a moment.

Decide what it is you like, what you desire, what you want to see.

If it’s already in the box another one can appear outside the box too.  You don’t have to go searching.

If what you desire is not in the box you’ll never find it by rummaging through anyway.  If it’s not in the box the only way it can appear is outside the box.

Stop making yourself fit inside the box.

Decide what it is you want and know that you can and will create it.

But you have to stop looking and expecting to find it in the box.

But there are so many possibilities outside the box to choose from.

And that is why I said you are using your backward looking techniques to create the future.

You realize the futility of choosing from infinity.

This is not about choosing.  Creation is about deciding.

You don’t have to know all that is out there because it is.

Decide what it is you desire – even if you’ve never seen it before.

You don’t have to know every possibility – that is for choosing.  That is for limiting yourself and creating a treasure box to go back to picking from.

Pick, no, toss.  Pick, no, toss.



What you dream, dream.  What you desire, desire.

Nothing is too crazy.  Nothing is too complex.

Far fetched  just means you reached further into your realm of creative powers than others are willing to venture.

You do not have to pick from their box.  Nor do you have to pick from yours.
