Getting To Know You

MAP

Listen.

To yourself.

Consider what others have to say but do not take on their opinion as your own at the expense of your own.

How do you grow, learn, expand then?

You will know the difference.  You will feel the difference.

A growth opportunity will shift something inside of you, open a door to something new.

You may mull, ponder, explore further or even forget – but you will feel something is afoot.

You will begin to see differently and it will make sense.

To take on an idea that is against your deepest knowing is a constant struggle, a giving up of who you are.

You become limited and shut down rather than more of who you are.

And it is okay to reserve opinion on any  matter – to not take on one idea or another.

It is perfectly fine to take your time in getting to know where you are coming from on any subject matter.

This is part of the process of knowing more deeply who you are.

You will know.  You will feel.

Repetition does not make a truth.

Sometimes you may have to stand alone and at odds with others.

If this is who you are then stand tall.  You are never alone.

Do not make yourself smaller by taking on what others tell you to be true if you know this is not sitting with you, if you question how that can be true.

Sometimes all it takes is one voice to change everything.

You may be that one.

If you remain silent remember silence should expand you, not shrink you.

That too is how you know the difference.

Shout from the mountain tops and sing from the valleys.

Listen, know, feel the truth of who you are and let others see that too.
