Why don’t you write about your thought on vacations to start us off.
Okay. Vacation is the act of vacating. If one needs a vacation then that is like saying one needs to vacate their life.
And if one needs to vacate their life then something is wrong – they aren’t living their best life, being who they are.
To escape is to try and forget, but knowing at the same time the “same old, same old” awaits your return.
In my mind that is no way to live.
It’s not, but people do.
It’s very hard on the body to resist not going in the direction the soul desires.
What’s resisting then?
You are. Your mind. The thing that makes you have this unique expression of all that is.
But this is all changing – that mind for some of you is growing thin and is not so much in the way. You are less of a block.
But the other way to look at this is to find joy in where you are, even when you aren’t happy about where you are.
Isn’t that contradicting – being joyful when you are unhappy?
Not at all. Joy and happiness are not the same thing.
Joy is an expression, a connection to your soul. Happiness comes from your mind.
When your mind is satisfied you are happy. When your soul shines through you are joy full.
So you see, a soul can shine through and be joy full for the experience of not being happy. Or rather, your soul is the joy.
When you feel joy full you are allowing your soul to shine through. Use that as your compass.
I guarantee you that you will not want to vacate your life when you are joy full, when you allow yourself to feel your soul presence at all times.
Even glimpses of your being will leave you wanting for more – in a good way. Those glimpses will lower your resistance, your blocks, so you will feel yourself fully more and more.
What will happen is your life will be a vacation at all times. You will experience your true self. You will live your true life.
There will be nothing to return to because you will be you wherever you go.
That is a life truly lived.
Think about the reasons you can’t wait for a vacation. Write them down. And notice what is going on at the same time.
What do you want to get away from? Who do you want to be while you are there? What will happen when you return?
Make note here as well if you are dying to go on vacation.
That is literally true.
You are dying inside. You are losing more and more pieces of your connection to you.
Not really but that is how it feels. Each hole you plug to no longer feel you, is another piece that has died inside of you until you can feel no more.
How numb are you? How much of the walking dead are you?
Have you ever considered this is why you might fear death so much – because you believe this numbness and disconnect is what death is all about?
I tell you this is not true.
The opposite is the direction you should look. That death is the time of ultimate connection with who you are with no thing, no mind, no body in between.
And maybe that is why you fear death so much, you are afraid to feel.
Death is in the numbness. Life is found in feeling.
The more you feel the more alive you be.
