In Love With Yourself

So we’re supposed to let our true selves shine through and be ourselves all the time.  What if we don’t like what we see?

You will.  Trust me.  You can’t help yourself.

You will fall deeply in love with yourself for there is no other choice.

Isn’t that being self-centred, being madly in love with ourselves?  The world doesn’t revolve around us. 

Yes it does.  Every single one of you.

The problem is your limited view of what us means.  The world does revolve around you because you are all one, part of the very same one.

And I didn’t say you would be madly in love with yourself.  I said you would fall deeply in love with yourself.  You would fall deeply in you.

Do you know how freeing that is to fall into yourself?  You go on forever.  No cages.  No boundaries.  No limits.

The sky is truly the limit because there is nothing else.

When you fall in love with you, you become part of that space in between the molecules.  You become part of the magic.  You call this the flow.

But now you see you are never not a part of it.  You are already deeply in love with yourself – and everyone else too.

You just tell yourself something different to hide this truth.

What fun would that be to be the kid on the block who knew everything?

Well, you are.

And so is everyone else.  When you stop pretending then so can everyone else.

For as you are all part of the one, if your part is blind then the whole can’t fully see.  When you see and acknowledge you can see, then you can help others see too.

Better to be the first than the last, don’t you think?

What if you were the very last person on the earth who was still pretending?  What if you were holding up the evolution of the entire planet by not being yourself?

No need to put that kind of pressure on yourself.  The process doesn’t work that way.

Evolution isn’t an all or nothing deal.  But your awareness does speed the process to get where you want to go.

The process is kind of backwards to what you think.

You have it in your head that as you age you are able to see less and less.  And with age comes wisdom – which is actually being able to see more and more.

Wisdom is seeing more clearly than before.

Even wisdom has its depths.  You can become wiser and wiser about your wisdom.

So as more of you see more clearly you will be able to help your own evolving.  Your wisdom will help you see more and help more see.

But this is a new kind of wisdom than you have thought of before.  It is not relegated to the old, nor does a lifetime of struggle and hardship give you access to the club.

Your new wisdom comes from seeing the world anew, from the larger, more inclusive picture, from seeing much more of the whole than ever before.

This perspective is open to the young and old.  It is a new level of awareness not directly arrived at from experience.

In fact, your experiences will be derived out of your awareness or wisdom rather than your wisdom being derived out of your experiences.

This is not new for all but for many.  Enough that it will seem like a huge shift, a turning upside down from what you know now.

And so it is there you can be of great help.  You can smooth the transition.

Let the others know you are there with your hand out for them to grab.

Let them know it will all be okay once they reach the end so they can begin again, but not all over.

This will not be like your definition of insanity of doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result.

This is a new journey you will all set out on.

And trust me, you will enjoy the ride.
