Why do you say life gets in the way? In the way of what – your dreams, moving forward, doing what you want to do?
How can life get in the way? How can you see the daily routine as separate from your dreams?
There are only two things that can be happening.
The first is that you should not be doing what you are doing.
The second is you are not happy with the decisions you have made in the past because they conflict with where you want to go.
Ouch.
Or is it you use the routine of your life to not move forward into the life of your dreams.
Your daily life and your dream life are not separate.
What will you do when you reach your dreams? Will not that become your daily life? Then what? How will life get in the way then for you?
You blame life for doing the things you don’t want to be doing, for stealing your time and energy. You could change all that if you really wanted to.
Why do you do the things you do? Because they were always done that way? Because you feel obligated to? Because it has to get done?
Do not ask yourself if there is another way. Ask yourself what is another way.
There is a powerful difference in those two little words – if and what.
If gives you an escape clause by allowing the possibility of “no”. What expands your possibilities by “who”.
Challenge yourself to look at your life and all the things you do. Take a good hard look at what you truly don’t want to be doing.
Ask yourself first if it truly needs doing at all. And if so, does it need doing by you.
Chances are the answer is no.
Find a way, not if there’s a way, to stop doing all those things you don’t want to be doing. You have chosen to do them. You can choose to stop doing them too.
The more you move off your plate that you don’t like doing the more you will find that life isn’t in the way after all.
Life becomes the way to live.
Stop the excuses. We have discussed before how you are very good at creating all sorts of them.
Stop.
Your excuses are holding you back. You are holding you back.
Don’t blame life for choices you have made and don’t want to choose again. It’s up to you to bring life back together with life.
Your dream life is your daily life. All you need to do is dream a different dream.
Just recognize what you are dreaming now is not what you desire any longer.
Wake up from this dream so you can start another.
