Grow up.
That is your only choice really. Grow into the expansiveness of yourself.
You keep yourself small to protect yourself, so you can control and keep safe yourself.
But that is an illusion.
Growing up is not about becoming an adult so you know everything. To grow up is to move into the next greater expanse of who you are.
There is so much more to you than you know.
Move beyond your edges – they are ever expanding. Rest if you must but keep pushing.
To grow down is too painful for you. How do you fit all of who you are now in a smaller box?
You can’t take away what you already know. Well, you can. But the results are too harsh and painful.
You can never not know again. You can hide and forget but you cannot not know.
Your safety is not with the borders or boundaries – unless they are infinite, in which case do they really exist?
Your safety lies within yourself – within being who you really are. That can never be taken from you – it can only be given. That is the game you play in order to understand and experience yourself more fully.
Wars are fought over territory – and territories exist only by boundaries. If you want more then you must take more, capture more.
And on the other side of that is the need to retain your territory, to protect your boundaries. And the smaller your territory the more fearful you become in protecting what little you have.
That can be where the fiercest fights take place for there is so little to give up – and then what. When that is gone there is nothing left … of you.
Yes, the smaller you keep yourself the more fearful you become of being lost, of losing all of who you are.
Grow into yourself, expand your territory by being all of who you are.
Then you will discover there is no territory after all. There are no borders or boundaries to protect.
There are no limits to who you are.
In that alone is your safety. Nothing to protect. All of you to share.
There is no mine, yours or ours.
There is only all.
