Inspire yourself to greater heights than you ever imagined or thought possible.
Do not wait for another to do this for you. You are the one who knows. You are the one who feels your own spark of passion deep inside.
Flame that spark. Give it all it needs to grow.
Give it light, give it oxygen, give it space to grow.
You are the fuel. Feed your flame by doing what you know you need to do.
The first instruction is already there. Just follow your flame.
Do not be concerned about getting too close and being burned. This is one fire you do not have to worry about.
Light the world with your flame like no one else can.
You hear that often.
You alone have a unique gift. Does that scare you away from finding it?
The secret is you do not have to seek for it. It is already within you. Deep inside.
How much have you put in between?
Think of a stack of dishes in a cafeteria. The first plate is way down inside with all the other plates on top.
As you lift each plate at the surface the stack grows smaller and that first plate is nearer your reach.
If you stack more plates on top then that first dish moves further away. Remove these plates and it draws nearer.
But that first plate never went away. It was always there even if you couldn’t see it.
And you don’t need to find where this plate is. It is not lost. You know it is right there in front of you.
So now, instead of spending all your time searching all over for something in front of you, simply place your attention on removing those plates that keep the first one down.
Like magic, your own flame will appear before your eyes. Where it has always been.
So again I repeat for you. Stop searching.
Focus your attention on disappearing what keeps you from being you.
Look at your worries, look at what scares you about being you, look at all your excuses you use.
Look at where you say I can’t or I don’t know how.
These are all plates on the stack that keep you down.
And I guarantee you will feel like there are more plates in front of you than is imaginable. You will swear someone is adding plates for you.
But know this. The first few plates you will find the hardest to remove.
But as you toss them away, all those other new plates you see will almost magically disappear because they carry no weight of their own any more.
They hold no power to hold that stack down and keep you from being you. All the weight comes from those first few plates.
Make a commitment to see this through, to see you at the end.
For you already do see you now.
It’s just a matter of letting you be you – once and for all. For all to see. Once and for all ways.
[Writing this entry I was reminded of the Jo Dee Messina song Burn. This home video I found is also a really great visual. For me the story in the lyrics is about being there to support another in living their greatest passion.]

I had forgotten all about that song … wow – it’s so powerful. As I watched both videos after reading your post, the thought crossed my mind: you know you just never hear about anyone having a “bucket list” that has “I need to work harder, I need to make more money” before I die. It really is all about experiencing life to it’s fullest. Thanks for the reminder !! I hope to hum that song for many days to come. :-)
Here is another one of my favorite songs with a similar message: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIAWY4LLsEw
