What do you want to talk about today?

Well, the first thing that popped to mind was not creation.

But everything is creation.  How do you stop that?  How can you not talk about that?

I get that part.  I just figured there was some detail or aspect where we could get more specific.

Like what?

I’m drawing a blank here under the pressure of the moment.

We could talk about more tools, something radical, play out in left field.  Right now my head is blankly full or fuzzy.

Okay then, how about we talk about life. 

Sure.  Let’s go for it.

Life is a process we all go through.  We live.  We die.  But creation is at the source of it.  (I know, there we go again using the C word.)

Let go and just create.  You are so busy trying to make something of yourself you forget to stop and smell the roses – to be yourself.

There is nothing you have to do or need to do.  This has been said many times before.  There is nothing you have to do because you are making this all up in the bigger picture.

It’s difficult to understand when you cannot see the next bigger picture or the one after that.  So you make your life the current biggest picture and get caught up in that.

Money is nowhere as important as you make it out to be.  Life is about relationship, not money.  The object of the game, this game, is to become aware of your relationship to everything – including money.

But you made money the goal instead of your relationship with money – and to the detriment of your relationship with everything else.

Money is no object.  It is a concept.  You created that concept to play with.  You can change how you play with it at any time by simply changing your relationship with it.

What are your thoughts about money now – right now? Where did those thoughts come from – your parents, society, school, TV, books, others – strangers you do not even know?  Think about that.  Did they throw you off track or did you?

What is your relationship with money (or anything else in your life)?  You see, you think relationship is limited to other human beings, the people around you.  Life is about everything – whether you can see it or not.

That is how you get at the bigger picture – to see and include all those you don’t care about or even know about.  How do you relate to them – or not.

That is another way to access information about who you are, and to see the bigger picture of information available to you.

What is the difference between money as the object or goal and as a relationship?  You tell me.

Well, money as the object or goal narrows your focus, and gives it power – your own power I suppose.  There is a transfer of your own power to create into money so you begin to believe that money has the power to create.

Very good.  What else?

Money as the object or goal narrows your idea of what money is, the awareness you have of your relationship with money.

I think it’s funny-odd-interesting to be talking about money as an aspect of life the day after the biggest spending day here in Canada.

What else did you want to talk about?

Nothing – never really equated money with how life works is all.  Didn’t expect money to come up as a part of a discussion on life.

What did you expect?  Money is your life for many of you on the planet – in growing exponential numbers.  You have substituted the word money for life.

If you don’t have money you lose your life.  If you don’t have money you die.  If you don’t put money first in all your decision making then you die.  Businesses die so people in power die – so you die.

There is no relationship there other than live or die.  All or nothing.

I tell you this – there is more to life than live or die. It is all the space in between.  Life is in the atoms in between.  Life is in your thoughts in between.

When you die you will see a new form of life begins and this is where the process begins again.  A bigger process.  A bigger picture process.

But if that is too big for you to comprehend then just limit your bigger picture (for now) on the space in between live and die and everything in between.

We got off a little bit from life, money and relationships it seems.

It is all related – everything is if you look fine enough.  There is a relationship between everything.

What about money as a relationship?  You didn’t answer that.

Okay – when you look at at money as a relationship to yourself and others then you take your power back – your power to create back (there – I said the C word!)  The awareness to observe is what becomes more important.

Very good.  Go on.

Awareness is what leads you to changing your life – making different (or same) decisions, seeing the bigger picture.  When you are aware of your thoughts and your relationships then you become purposeful  – conscious of what you are doing rather than being on autopilot or doing things but don’t know why.

So if life is about awareness and being conscious, then what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket – like making money the object or goal of life?

You step on a never ending treadmill or a wheel in the hamster cage.  All you can see is what is directly in front of you and nothing else.  There is no bigger picture.

So you can see how this leads to your frustrations over not knowing who you are, what you like and don’t like, going deeper and all that jazz.

If your focus is so narrowed to one goal then all that other stuff that life is – naturally – becomes stuffed down there somewhere and difficult to reach.  Then you play the  “what I don’t like to find out what I do like” game.

It’s all an experience but comes back to what you create or don’t create.  If you want to live a purposeful life, to create your life, then you must change your thoughts about life.  And we’ve said that you’ve made money another word for life – so you have to change your thoughts about money to live a createful life.

It’s simply breaking a habit.  What else do you do to break a habit?  Use those techniques to break your money thought habit.

Find your relationship with money rather than money itself and watch your life change.  Increasing awareness is key to all life change.
