Feeling frustrated these days nothing is going the way it should?
Join the club.
I’ve lost count of how many people have expressed this feeling. And it’s quite a change from what was happening a couple of months ago.
Back then I couldn’t believe how many were undergoing a considerable change in their lives. Many people were moving – and quite quickly – while others were undergoing job / career shifts and a few were seeing changes to their families.
I felt as if someone had pulled out a plug, all this pent up energy had been let go and all you could do was hang on with everything moving so fast.
What a difference from the comments I hear now. Something seems to have happened in late November – early December that put a halt to everything. The message I kept hearing was to sit back and relax as everything was being put on hold until after the new year.
The common thread through all these stories appears to be
Stop pushing rope.
The more we try to make something happen, to control the situation the more our efforts will simply result in more frustration. Stop trying to make things happen because now is not the time. As my friend so aptly put it:
Just let it go.
Trying to get a better sense of what is going on I began feeling all this frustration is leading to a window of opportunity for an extra burst of energy to propel us forward coming early in the new year.
There feels to be two sources creating this window. The first comes from an additional surge of energy we are being present-ed – Happy New Year! The second source comes from the build up of energy – chaotic energy at its root – created by the frustration of so many people.
These two energies are coming together to gift us an extra push – if we choose to take it – in the direction we desire to go or create.
Liken this time now of being put on hold to that moment when you sit at the top of a giant slide looking down at the path before you … and many times can only see as far as the first turn. You sit down, settle in, take a deep breath and
push off into the path ahead.
You can’t reach the bottom of the slide without starting at the top. At some point you have to push off.
Come mid-January to early February you have the opportunity to jump in with an added oomph to get you going even faster. Use the time now to get clear where you’re not, prepare yourself, get things in order and
Enjoy the ride!!
