When is a hobby is more than a hobby? When you take a step back to see the richness of life’s lessons held within that which you love to do the most.
Even if you’re not into climbing I’m positive you will take away many pearls – er, make that pebbles – of wisdom from listening to Mathew Childs’ Ted Talk on rock climbing.
My favourite nuggets are:
fear really sucks because what it means is you’re not focusing on what you’re doing … you’re focusing on the consequences of failing at what you’re doing
knowing how to let go is the key to not getting hurt
the best … know how to rest, regroup, calm themselves, focus and keep going
What life lessons do you see from the things you love to do the most?
