The High Of Control

I heard on the news this morning after heavy rains a dam broke today in Jakarta, Indonesia.  The described tsunami-like wall of water destroyed all in its path.

I instantly remembered the message of an autonomic writing experience I had in August 2004.  Here is what was written: 

It is an illusion you carry that safety is found within comfort and sameness.

Sameness is not stillness, never confuse the two.  Stillness is your connection with Me.  Sameness is evidence appearing false for everything changes – never forget that – for as you cannot stop the flow of a river you cannot stop the flow of Life – you create the illusion of control and stoppage with your dams, but you cannot hold it back forever.

You must let even the smallest trickle through to relieve the pressure of the dam or it will burst.  Look at your life where you have dams and allow the trickle.

Remember the destruction caused by stopping the flow – what part of you died by amassing all the energy – and then you assume the risk subconsciously of holding all the energy at bay – telling yourself you are controlling things – do you not see the joke in all of this?

You won’t risk blatant change change but you’ll risk mass destruction for the illusion – the river will cause change, slowly over time, gently reshaping its path over many years, millennia – but you choose to up the ante by balancing, by getting the high of controlling much more destruction waiting to happen.

Do not fool yourself.  Call a spade a spade.
