I am intrigued watching Remembrance Day related programs and ceremonies. They all have this sense of deep reverence about them I seldom see anywhere else. People of all ages and walks of life come together and re-member as one once again.
I personally don’t find these events as overly sad occasions. Instead I seem to connect with a deep sense of inner peace. Possibly this is the way for those who died fighting to re-mind us of Who We Really Are. Deep down inside we humans are capable of peace, or perhaps we are truly peaceful beings at our core.
Possibly one of the ways we can start changing our future is to live in reverence of life every day, instead of just one. Can you imagine a world where we hold each and every life near and dear to our hearts as if it were our very own. What if we feared the death of others as much as feared our own? Maybe if we celebrate and honour life lived now we won’t have to honour any more lives lost in pain, suffering or violence.
