I must be getting old.  Or wise.  Or both.  Starting in on our renovation projects over the past couple of months I feel like I’ve really started to “get it”.

The biggest difference between these reno projects and those in our last house is me.  I find myself being totally in the moment – and truly understanding the experience of being in the moment.  I’m not in a rush anymore to get things done (for the most part!) and I’m not thinking ahead to the next project.  I feel like I’m truly here, now. continue →

Recently I caught myself saying another version of “I don’t know” for the ump-teenth time in just a few short weeks.  I could hear myself uttering variations such as “I wish I knew”, “I want clarity please!”, “Tell me the answer” or “Please make this clear”.  Regardless of the words coming out of my mouth I was feeling confused and knee-deep in struggle about what to do. continue →
